Abstract (English)

In his discussion of genesis and process in Peacock's work, the author reveals how these textured and vibrantly coloured abstract paintings are created. The spiritual in abstract art, and more specifically in the artist's work is emphasized. With an appendix of excerpts from Kenworth Moffett's "Abstract Art and The Present Situation", discussing Olitski's influence and new directions in Canadian abstract art. Biographical notes.
