Abstract (English)

De Francesco's craftsmanship and use of rich and varied marbles to create his abstract sculptures is appreciated, especially in the light of contemporary re-evaluation of traditional methods and materials. The author discusses the allusions made by the stacking and balancing of simplified forms producing symbolic stylizations of the human figure.
