Abstract (English)

On the occasion of an exhibition of works created by Riopelle between 1983 and 1993, the authors consider the artist's triptych "Hommage à Rosa Luxemburg" and his enamelled slabs of lava. Riopelle's aerosol paintings are discussed in connection with graffiti, prehistoric negative impressions, and Man Ray's rayograms; a text is devoted to fishing and artificial flies. Excerpts from interviews. Biographical notes on artist and authors. Circa 280 bibl. ref.
