Abstract (English)

This 14-year retrospective glances at the performance work of NYC-based Jonas contains three texts. Crimp situates Jonas' early performances among the attempts to break with the then established modernism, while Ross's essay introduces the videotape section and posits the motifs of theme of investigating the spiritual and scientific world views. Jonas herself writes on her preference for gesture in general as a key to art making. Biographical notes. Bibl. 3 p.
