Abstract (English)

Colour reproductions of Kostyniuk’s Saskatchewan Road Map series, constructions that utilise the grain elevator as their main visual motif, are followed by a brief text by the artist. Emphasising the cultural role and structural impact of the grain elevator on the prairies, Kostyniuk simultaneously laments its disappearance and sings its praise.
