Abstract (English)

In a discussion with Osterwold, Ferguson notes the curator's eclectic selection of 15 contemporary Canadian artists to exhibit in Stuttgart, leading both to reflect on the work as it relates to their thoughts on art per se and the notion of a central national concern. Monk and Lewis trace the histories of A Space and Western Front respectively. An untranslated German text introduces a video exhibition and provides notes on each of the 12 works presented.
